This year’s Breakfast with Santa, sponsored by the Davis Odd Fellows Lodge, will take place Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Odd Fellows Hall, 415 Second St. in downtown Davis. Due to the extreme popularity of this event, there will be three seatings, at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Tickets go on sale Monday, Nov. 16, and may be purchased (subject to availability) for any of the seatings.
The breakfast will be served in the Upper Hall of the Lodge. Santa and his elves will be on hand to spend time with each child.
Breakfast with Santa includes a traditional pancake breakfast, a goodie bag for each child, and an opportunity to take a photo with Santa. The Odd Fellows have arranged for a professional photographer to take photos of each child with Santa, however, adults are encouraged to bring their own cameras as well.
Tickets are $10 per person, adults and children, and all children must be accompanied by adults. Seating is limited and tickets are not sold at the door. Tickets are available for purchase only at Avid Reader Active, 605 Second St., and Common Grounds, 2171 Cowell Blvd. Only cash or checks will be accepted; no credit-card payments.
Breakfast with Santa is supported by food donations from the Davis Food Co-op with support from sponsors Tandem Properties Inc.; Brooks Painting Inc.; Raquel M. Silva, attorney at law; Tim Ainsworth; Beth and Bob Dovi; Joyce Trujillo; Lea and Dave Rosenberg; Law Offices of Roberta Savage; Sherry and Tony Pruitt; Arun Sen; Allison Zuvela; Davis Ace; and Campus Child Care.
The Independent Order of Odd Fellows is a longtime fraternal order and service organization and traces its history in Yolo County back to 1870 when the lodge was chartered. Currently, the Davis Odd Fellows Lodge has 238 members, making it one of the five largest Odd Fellows Lodges in North America.
Proceeds from Breakfast with Santa will go toward programs serving emancipated foster youths and to aid foster children.
