Dear Dedicated Members for Change,
Grand Lodge and Rebekah Assembly Sessions in Modest are coming up in May, less than six weeks from now.
If you are planning to attend, make sure you have registered. But whether you are registered or not, you and your family members are cordially invited to attend a special event at sessions: Rebekah Assembly Vice President Donna Morrison and I (as Deputy Grand Master) are hosting a “Social Hour and Pizza Party” on Thursday, May 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hotel (the site of Grand Lodge and Rebekah Assembly Sessions) – currently set in the Arbor Theater (the room may change, depending on the size of the group).
Please see the attached flier. I am delighted to say that we already have 120 RSVP’s – this far exceeds our expectations, and the list of attendees is growing every day. Accordingly, this event is sure to be a highlight of the Sessions, and we hope you can attend. Make sure to RSVP as outlined in the attached flier. Donna and I suspect we may have started a new tradition with this event for future sessions.
The cost of the event is just $10 per person and there will be live music, all-you-can-eat Pizza, great social time and conversation, and a no-host bar. Attire is completely comfortable and casual (jeans, flip flops, shorts, T-shirts, Hawaiian shirts, etc.). Just kick back and relax at this event, because it’s important that we have some fun at Sessions! At the “Social Hour and Pizza Party” it’s all about the “friendship” part of “friendship, love, and truth.”
Also, whether you are a voting representative or not, Donna and I invite you to the Installation of Officers on Saturday, May 16, starting at 7 p.m., at the DoubleTree Hotel, Harvest Hall. Immediately following the Installation (around 9:30 p.m.), Donna and I invite you to a complimentary ice-cream social which we are hosting – currently scheduled to be held in the Arbor Theater at the hotel. A nice topping to the conclusion of Sessions.
