Davis Lodge #169 entered a float in the annual University of California, Davis, Picnic Day Parade, and received a major award! The float was entitled “Helping Hands from the Heart of Our Community” and won the “Best Theme” prize.

The float featured a large red heart with two arms and hands extending outward. On the float was a recreation of the iconic glass blocks which adorn the outside of the Lodge Hall, replete with Odd Fellows symbols and crests. A number of Odd Fellows and family members rode the float or walked at the side of the float. And dozens of Odd Fellows cheered them on when the parade passed right in front of the Lodge on 2nd Street in Downtown Davis.
