Each year the Davis Odd Fellows host a variety of events. These events, both public and private, make the Davis Odd Fellows a great organization in which to participate.

We asked our members what events they enjoyed the most during 2013. Here are their responses.

Monster Bash was Numero Uno with Christmas caroling coming in second. Favorite committee (only committee) is Senior Citizen Committee.

Breakfast with Santa
– Caroling
– Initiation
– Davis Music Fest at the Lodge
– helping on the Seniors Committee
– volunteering at Yolo Food Bank

We would have liked to have done more, but with little kids it’s tough. The Lodge used to have family movie night but that was ended. It would be great if it could be brought back, or if there there other family-friendly events.

I loved odd poetry, halloween party, and thurs night music and dinner, christmas music.

I really enjoy the monthly Poetry Hour. It is relaxing, full of great poetry, fun music, and good fellowship!

I really liked the hikes and wish I was able to do more of them. The hike around Angel Island was really fun.

The annual trip to AT&T Park to see the SF Giants play is a perpetual favorite.

Beer brewing was also a favorite and showing off our beer at Odd Fellows events, like the Oddtoberfest and St. Patrick’s Day. Though this activity attracted few Odd Fellows, I enjoyed the conversation with the small group that would show up each time and provided an excuse to sit outside, away from phones, TVs and computers.

There were new activities, such as harvesting for the Food Bank, that I enjoyed and look forward to in the coming year.

The larger events I liked were Dogtoberfest and, of course, Breakfast with Santa.

Dogtoberfest!

A little selfish perhaps, but Dogtoberfest was my favorite Odd Fellows event of 2013. Good food, music, and camaraderie; a fun show/demonstration; and a great cause.

I LOVE the community projects (senior help, Breakfast with Santa, etc.). Those are the kind of things I wanted to do when I joined Odd Fellows!

I liked the hikes … although I wish I could attend more of them.
I would like to get back into beer brewing but the time is difficult.
I also like helping seniors, but again it’s difficult to find the time.
I greatly enjoy the St. Patrick’s Dinner as well as the Oddtoberfest events.
Of course, i also enjoy the Saturday breakfast meetings and the Thursday lodge nights (when i can find the time to attend).

I love the Club Nights at the Lodge, the wine country trips, the wine club, sometimes odd poetry, Breakfast with the Bunny, Breakfast with Santa, Taste of Davis, OddtoberFest, the Halloween Party, the Installation and Awards Dinner, Second Sunday Bingo, Thursday Live!, and now organizing the Odd Fellows Classic Film Festival.

For me, the Dogtoberfest was the BEST.

The second Saturday breakfasts and Breakfast with Santa would be at the top of my list, along with the Oddtoberfest.
